Post MUD, mud, glorious MUD...
MUD = Multi User Dungeon

The Qube RiscOS Server actually has a fully-functional ROM-MUD Server...
...and not a lot of people know that!

The 'plan' is to eventually have a sort-of retro hack 'n slash chat room:
-You log-in to the MUD to chat (think IRC)
But you can also
-Go kill a few monsters
-Go on missions
-Loose yourself to the on-line world
(very popular these days, but without the 3D GFX)
-Or just hang out in one of the local taverns...

You'll need a MUD Client - MUSH is probably the best 'doze client...
http://www.gammon.com.au/mushclient/mushclient.htm
...almost every other platform has one too.

You'll need some instructions...
http://graphcomp.com/mutt/mud.html
...should be a start.

The Qube RiscOS Server MUD can be found on:
World Name: Qube MUD
TCP/IP Address: grope.thruhere.net
Port: 4000

When you log-in you'll be prompted for a name.
-If you enter an unused name (your first time) you'll be prompted for a password and taken through character set-up.
-If you enter a known name you'll be prompted for a password and assuming you know it, will be taken to the point where your character left off.

Enjoy your thoroughly retro fun. :)

*Important*
The MUD is live and persistent - when you log-out your character still exists in the MUD. It's a good idea to find somewhere safe to go to sleep first!
